Our Story

The east coast lobster company was established in 2020 by the Hanley Family. The family has over 30 years’ experience in the restaurant and seafood trade. Having established the Ouzos and the Fish Shack Café brands, owning and operating crab and lobster boats in Cahersiveen, Co Kerry and Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin, we headed north to set up our fish processing plant in Kilkeel, Co Down many years ago and from here, we have built relationships and source the highest quality fresh and frozen seafood for the Irish wholesale Market and the restaurant trade.

 

Now it is time to bring our expertise to the East Coast Lobster Co where our goal is to supply the wholesale and restaurant trade with the same quality Irish seafood that our restaurants enjoyed through the years.

Our Ethos

Where possible we will always support local Irish fishermen, not just because we should always support our own, but also because we have the richest fishing grounds in Europe, it’s our food, some of the finest seafood in the world and let’s keep that local.

During our thirty plus years in the restaurant business we learned a thing or two when it comes to sourcing and handling fish. Each one of our products has been carefully thought out to ensure our customers get to enjoy our fabulous seafood. Our Prepared seafood products are about Quality, Consistency and Cost Control.
